MDM11 Bootcamp/Training

Amazing Bootcamp on MDM11 in Pune

Last week I completed my first bootcamp delivery on MDM11, and overall it was a WOW session for me. I enjoyed talking about the knowledge that I had gained in tech meetings and was amazed to see the interest and excitement among others who attended my bootcamp. I met lot many passionate MDM tech leads attending the bootcamp along with some fresh minds who are looking at this release as newbie to Master Data Management area.

Me being first time user of DWL, it was moment of real joy with so many feature packed sessions on MDM11. The use of terms like BPM, BIGDATA as part of MDM is really something amazing to look in future too. The inclusion of MDMPIM, MDM initiate, MDM core (I am little bias here to call dwl/wcc core J )

There are many interesting thing which will make new comers in this space very excited. There are lot many things which will show the world a game changer proposition in MDM world from IBM.

The components like initiate, future objective to go in direction of big data, combination and options to use any kind of suspect (Initiate probabilistic, MDM deterministic) are some of the interesting things I liked from existing user perspective

I was very much excited to see the BPM integration of this particular product, it was something I have seen as a gap and dependency on others to let my MDM get integrated with UI’s. I have seen webmethods, messaging adaptors, BPM, process servers doing the work without us knowing how it works from start to end. Good to give exposure and may be overload the people closer to MDM with lot of knowledge and option to explore J

Topics that I covered in my session and discussed in detail were more from hands on lab perspective
  • Introduction of Virtual MDM Implementation
    • Virtual Implementation Architecture
    • Virtual Implementation Project Introduction
    • Virtual Implementation Configure Member Model
    • Virtual Implementation Configure Algorithms
    • Virtual Implementation Deploy Instance
    • Virtual Implementation Deriving Data
    • Virtual Implementation Generate Weight
    • Virtual Implementation Bulk Cross Match
    • Virtual Implementation Pair Manager & Threshold Analysis
    • Virtual Implementation Analytics & Reiterate
    • Virtual Implementation Inspector

  • Introduction of Physical MDM Implementation
    • Physical Implementation Architecture
    • Physical Implementation Batch Console and Processor
    • Physical Implementation Invocation Interfaces
    • Physical Implementation Data Model
    • Physical Implementation Suspect Duplicate Process
    • Physical Implementation Data Extension
    • Physical Implementation Data Addition
    • Physical Implementation Behavior Extension
    • Physical Implementation Application Toolkit

  • Hybrid MDM

Good to get connected by people via mail calls later that session. I am able to learn a lot during these sessions while exploring new MDM11 with folks in different stages of MDM11 implementation/migration. My understanding from overall discussion Hybrid and ASI are interesting things people would love to explore in coming days in this release

Great times Ahead !!!!!
